Wild growing apricots are a product of natural diversity, with a more interesting, aromatic and intensive taste that can’t be compared with cultivated apricots.
Dried apricots contain the same nutrients as fresh apricots, in a concentrated form. Apricots are known for their high levels of vitamin A, vitamin C, iron and potassium [1 and 2]. That’s why dried fruits are indispensable for a balanced diet.
Apricots and raisins have a very high antioxidant capacity of 3234 and 10450 µmol TE (ORAC value = Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity).
The body’s defence mechanisms are strengthened by foods rich in antioxidants, and this helps to neutralise excessive production of free radicals. The recommended ORAC daily requirement is between 5000 and 7000 .
Antioxidants can help our bodies to eliminate free radicals, which can cause a great deal of damage to the body’s cells. The berries assist our defence mechanisms – of especial benefit in the cold season. The berries are said to reduce fever and have an anti-rheumatic, diuretic effect .

Origin and Production:
We source our organic apricots with 1 Bukhara raisin exclusively from Uzbekistan. Large parts of the region are certified for organic farming and are worked by the local organic farmers at harvesting time only. The farmers in this area have complied with organic cultivation criteria for many years and are proud of their contribution towards sustaining the natural balance.
After harvesting, the apricots are washed, pitted, the raisins are washed as well and then the both gently dried using solar energy. The drying process is very eco-friendly, using a solar drying method that has a minimal impact on the product. After undergoing external controls, each dried apricot is filled with a black bukhara raisin by hand.
This product is pressure treated in Austria. During the pressure process, the combination of pressure and time ensures that the product is completely free of pests.
