Corn is naturally gluten free. This makes it the ideal ingredient for a low-gluten and gluten free diet, if it’s tested for gluten first. This is because all kinds of contamination can take place during harvesting, cleaning and product processing. For this reason, the maize has to be processed in a gluten free facility, and that’s exactly what we do with our maize semolina!

Corn contains essential amino acids, vitamins A, B, E and C, the minerals potassium, calcium, phosphorous and zinc. Maize is easily digestible and therefore very suitable for a light diet [1 and 2].

We purchase our organic corn / maize flour exclusively from Austrian organic farmers. The organic corn is cultivated and harvested with the greatest care, in compliance with criteria on organic agriculture.

After harvesting, our organic corn is cleaned several times, ensuring high purity. After their quality has been checked several times, the maize is ground in a gluten free facility. Our corn flour is given our standard pressure treatment and they are laser cleaned. During the pressure process, the combination of pressure and time ensures that the product is completely free of pests.
