Cashew nuts contain high levels of magnesium, phosphorous, manganese and copper. Magnesium is an essential mineral. Cashews also provide the body with vitamin E, vitamin B1, niacin, iron and zinc.
The essential amino acid tryptophan contained in the nuts, converted by the body into serotonin and melatonin, helps to promote inner calmness, tranquility and satisfaction [1 and 2].
Our cashew butter is made from fairtrade cashews, freshly processed into a butter. We use only organic cashews that undergo several quality controls. The resulting product is very creamy with a rich cashew flavour. The butter is creamy and a natural white/ beige colour.
Our cashew butter gives a whole range of foods a very creamy, pleasantly nutty cashew taste.
Origin and production:
We source our organic Fairtrade cashews from Sri Lanka. Large parts of the area are certified for organic and FAIRTRADE cultivation and are worked by the FAIRTRADE farmers living there. The farmers belong to one of the two Fairtrade groups, SOFA or MOPA. When purchasing our organic Fairtrade jumbo cashews, you help these Fairtrade small farmers‘ groups to improve their living conditions through hard honest work.
Produced and packaged in Austria.
When the cashews arrive in Austria, a fine, pale raw food quality cashew butter is made in a procedure requiring great attention to detail.
