Vitamin B1, B6, manganese, phosphorous, magnesium and iron are the main vitamin and mineral groups contained in pistachios . A lack of vitamin B affects us mentally, making us more irritable and moody. The body needs vitamin B6 for a well-functioning protein metabolism and iron for enhanced physical and mental performance.
Research has shown that the polyunsaturated fatty acids contained in nuts lower blood cholesterol levels, stabilise blood sugar values, strengthen the vessels, reduce the risk of contracting cancer of the stomach or prostate and suffering heart attacks, and inhibit inflammatory reactions. 
Our Sicilian pistachio kernels aren’t just nice to look at, but have a typical very nutty taste and are first-rate quality. Their colours are strong and rich, ranging from delicate lilac to a warm green hue.
Origin and Production:
We source our organic pistachios kernels exclusively from the company Damiano in Sicily.
We have been cooperating closely with Damiano for a long time and we value the very high quality of each other’s work. They are harvested by hand with the greatest care, and undergo several rounds of cleaning and controls.
Pistachios are gently harvested when the ripe outer shell of the pistachio fruit turns pink and a gap opens in it, so that the actual nut inside becomes visible. After careful harvesting the pistachio shell is removed. The green kernels are then gently sun-dried. The drying process is very eco-friendly, using a solar drying method that has a minimal impact on the product.
