Coconut chips contain the following vitamins and minerals: iron, sodium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, iodine, vitamins B1, B2, B6, E and folic acid [1 to 3]. Coconut chips are also very rich in fibre , which is good news for our digestive system.
Organic Fairtrade coconut chips toasted have a very nutty, aromatic and pleasantly taste. The chips are light brown or yellow. They are different in size, and because they are crispy, they may break.
Origin and Production:
We source our toasted organic Fairtrade Coconut Chips from Sri Lanka. Large parts of the region are certified for organic.
After harvesting, the coconut is opened, the coconut milk is taken out and the shell removed. The coconut flesh is gently grated into slices and then toasted. The processing steps are carried out carefully by hand in extremely hygienic conditions. In this way the high quality of the dried organic coconut chips is guaranteed.
The Coconut Chips are pressure treated in Austria. During the pressure process, the combination of pressure and time ensures that the product is completely free of pests.
